Tastespotting - mmmmmmmm

Yup! The boys are going through a cooking phase - meeting up once a month to try new recipes - I know, it sounds effeminate but we're secure in our masculinity to admit we enjoy cooking, a couple of quiets and the odd game of texas hold em helps boosts the respectability factor. This maybe a generalisation but I find most PI men I know love to cook - dishes might not turn out so great at first but obviously through trial and error, alot of them find themselves with a signature dish.My dad makes a mean chop suey and an awesome curry. I've yet to find my piece de resistance, but with the help of Tastespotting I'm hoping this recipe will be it!
It involves a wok, chili & chicken! Nuff said.

  1. Men with spatulas who know how to use them :) My dad's a mean cook and these days spends lots of time fishing (the parents have moved to Doubtless Bay in the far north) and looking up various fish recipes to try. Aww I gotta say, I *really* like the sound of Rebel Without a Sauce and am pondering trying a couple of the recipes (even though I can't cook for peanuts). One recipe I tried off of the Food Channel was one that Tyler Florence did - a bourbon peach cobbler. It was YUM (admittedly I drank most of the bourbon both before & after) but it was still YUM.

  2. Hahaha. Wow the olds have retired up north, how cool is that! Bourbon peach cobbler mmmmmmm, food glorious food! I enjoy watching Iron Chef but some of the dishes they do and for amateurs hoping to replicate - not a prayer in heck.
