Good for me Reads

Yep, love the site. Great reader's advisory tool and a good ol nosey at what other people are reading. Thats pretty much all I have to say about Goodreads. Making a mockery of this blog title though...ummm so how's it going in Timbuktu?

Twitter Shmitter...

I can see the use of Twitter to promote events for Libraries. Ummm would I use it personally to promote activities within my branch library - nah. It's a site dependent upon the number of followers you accumulate. I reckon it is better sending an email to patrons & posting events on our library website.

I really don't see the point of proclaiming the current events of one's personal life to the virtual world. Seems a tad narcissistic to me - and here I am...blogging. Pot - kettle, meet black...*sigh*
