I can see the use of Twitter to promote events for Libraries. Ummm would I use it personally to promote activities within my branch library - nah. It's a site dependent upon the number of followers you accumulate. I reckon it is better sending an email to patrons & posting events on our library website.
I really don't see the point of proclaiming the current events of one's personal life to the virtual world. Seems a tad narcissistic to me - and here I am...blogging. Pot - kettle, meet black...*sigh*
Of course everybody wants to know what I had for breakfast, lunch, dinner and midnight snack! Hah. Seriously, though, there are some individuals/organisations tweeting some fantastic ideas, links, recommendations etc. Hey look - you've finished week 3 :)
